Your smile faces multiple health threats every day. Sometimes, damage happens. For teeth that have been harmed by poor diet, decay or disease, Prosthodontic Associates of South Florida offers proven restorative dentistry solutions.
We provide composite/resin materials in a variety of natural-looking shades to restore both anterior and posterior teeth. These resins are remarkably durable and release enamel-strengthening fluoride, so teeth will remain shielded for years to come.
Crowns and Bridges
Our crowns (or “caps”) are fabricated to fit your teeth perfectly. Once dental impressions or scans are taken, our in-office dental lab forges a porcelain or metal coping to fit precisely over the teeth. To create a natural appearance and feel, porcelain is then baked onto the coping. After performing any necessary adjustments for comfort, the crown is then adhered to the teeth.
Bridges play an important role in replacing missing teeth. We engineer bridges in a similar manner as crowns to ensure optimal comfort and stability.
Full and Partial Dentures
Dentures are available to patients who are missing multiple or all teeth. These prostheses are fabricated with comfort and aesthetics in mind. Our dentures are designed to be sturdy, so patients can function normally while speaking or enjoying their favorite foods. They also snap into place and are easy to remove, which makes cleaning hassle-free.
Root Canal Therapy
When the nerve (known as the “pulp”) of the tooth dies due to severe decay or trauma, pain, sensitivity, swelling and infection can ensue. In these situations, root canal therapy is needed to remove dead nerves and infection. The term “root canal” may conjure up horrifying thoughts of pain and a long recovery, but advances allow 99% of cases to be remedied without discomfort.
